Much of our territory was once in the hands of Matilda of Canossa and in many towns, we can still find traces of that important era (Monteveglio, Castel di Serravalle, Vignola, Bazzano, Savignano sul Panaro). In more recent times it became one of the favourite territories of the nobility of Bologna who built many manor houses, some of which host cultural events in summer (in particular concerts under the stars)

Just a little further afield (20-30 minutes) we find ourselves immersed in our beautiful cities of art starting from Bologna and then Modena. A little further still, we find Ferrara and Parma and then Mantua and Ravenna, all within an hour’s drive

If we go even further we can reach Verona, Florence and Venice
